Who We Are
A Light In The Darkness – Transitional Living began as an extension of the “A Light In The Darkness” Narcotics Anonymous group. Recognizing the need for sober, supportive housing, we launched our nonprofit ministry in June 2024 and formed a dedicated board of directors.
We are officially recognized as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization at both the state and federal levels. Our ministry is founded on Christian values and a deep belief in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

Currently, we operate one sober home: Peggy’s House – a place of healing, structure, and faith.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for women who are transitioning from addiction treatment to independent living. We aim to support their recovery journey through comprehensive programs, spiritual guidance, and community involvement.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
